This app is designed to help you learn about skincare, not to replace a professional. We have written this Disclaimer carefully because your safety matters to us. Please read it. If anything is unclear, ask us at support@nurca.app.

1. Purpose

This Medical Disclaimer ("Disclaimer") explains what Nurca (the "App") provides and, just as importantly, what it does not provide. It forms an integral part of the Terms of Use and applies whenever you use the App.

2. General educational information only

All information made available through the App — product ratings, ingredient explanations, compatibility and "mix" checks, routine suggestions, sensitive-skin cautions, and flare-log insights — is provided for general information and educational purposes only.

The information is generalized. It is not personalized to you. The App does not evaluate your individual medical history, allergies, medications, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, skin condition, or any other personal circumstance.

3. Not medical advice

The App does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for professional care. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, monitor, or prevent any disease or medical condition. It is not a medical device.

Your use of the App does not create any physician-patient, dermatologist-patient, pharmacist-patient, fiduciary, advisory, or other professional relationship between you and Nurca or its publisher.

4. Sensitive-skin mode

Sensitive-skin mode is an optional educational feature. When enabled, it applies more conservative ingredient cautions based solely on your choice to turn it on. It does not determine whether you have any skin or medical condition, and it must not be interpreted as medical advice or as a recommendation tailored to your personal health.

5. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and trying to conceive

Important: The App does not screen ingredients for pregnancy or breastfeeding safety. Some ingredients flagged by the App — particularly retinoids (vitamin A derivatives) — are contraindicated during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive, consult a qualified healthcare professional before using any product flagged by this App. Do not rely on the App alone for guidance during these periods.

6. Consult a qualified professional

For any concern about your skin or health — including persistent irritation, a reaction, a suspected allergy, a skin condition, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or before starting or stopping any product or treatment — consult a qualified dermatologist, physician, or pharmacist. Do not disregard or delay professional advice because of anything made available through the App.

In an emergency — if you experience difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, or a widespread rash — stop using the product and seek emergency medical care immediately. The App is not for emergencies.

7. Accuracy and completeness of information

Ingredient and product information comes from manufacturers, community-maintained databases (including Open Beauty Facts), publicly available sources, and other third parties. This information may be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date, or differ from the product currently sold in your region. Manufacturers may change formulations without notice.

Barcode scanning, label (OCR) reading, and product matching are best-effort and may fail or return the wrong result. Always verify ingredients and directions against the product's packaging.

Compatibility and "mix" checks, routine suggestions, and sensitive-skin cautions are generalized educational heuristics based on commonly reported ingredient interactions. They do not account for:

product formulation or ingredient concentration;
application method or frequency of use;
your medical history, allergies, or medications;
individual skin tolerance.

The absence of a caution does not mean a product or combination is safe for you. The presence of a caution does not mean it is unsafe for everyone.

8. Individual results and patch testing

Skincare is highly individual. Results vary from person to person. When introducing a new product, consider performing a patch test according to the manufacturer's instructions before broader use, and discontinue use if irritation develops.

9. No guarantees

We make no representation or warranty that any information provided by the App is complete, accurate, current, or suitable for your circumstances. We do not guarantee that any recommendation, caution, or educational content will achieve a particular result or prevent irritation, allergic reactions, or other adverse effects.

10. Assumption of risk

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you use the App and rely on its information entirely at your own risk. You remain solely responsible for decisions regarding the purchase, selection, combination, use, discontinuation, or replacement of skincare products. The limitation of liability in the Terms of Use applies to this Disclaimer.
